Learn Assembly helped a leader in the energy industry to model its teams' skills needs and map its learning program catalog.

A major player in electrical distribution in France contacted Learn Assembly in 2023 to collaborate on a learning project. It consisted in modeling the group’s skills requirements to meet the massive challenges brought about by the electrification of France and the environmental transition. This project is part of the “Compétences et Métiers d’Avenir” call for expressions of interest. The AMI CMA aimed to help strategic economic industries prepare for the future jobs and skills, in line with the objectives of France 2030.

Key Objectives: Modeling Skills Needs and Mapping Career Paths

The project was designed to address critical hiring and learning needs. In particular, it focused on jobs in short supply and emerging skills related to power networks. To support the modeling of employee skills requirements, the highlight was on :

  • Mapping of certifications and initial and continuing learning programs for these professions.
  • Regional mapping of learning programs and recommendations for their development, including career bridges.
  • Adapting learning systems and mixing certification and diplomas.

One last word

The energy transition will require massive investment and a nationwide network of technicians and engineers. These strategic objectives can only be achieved by adapting the learning offer.
