Since 2016, Learn Assembly has been tracking the evolution of the Digital Learning Manager profession. In 2024, we are proud to unveil the latest edition of our white paper, which focuses on the transformations of this position in Learning & Development (L&D) departments.

In a world where professional learning has become essential to remain competitive, the Digital Learning Manager is a crucial profession. But what does it really mean to be Digital Learning Managers? What missions do they have? Who do they work with?

In our latest white paper “Who are the Digital Learning Managers?” – The 2024 Study, dive into the heart of this rapidly expanding profession. Discover how these professionals juggle instructional design, content production and promoting their learning offer to meet today’s learning challenges.

To understand how this profession is evolving, we launched a survey at the end of 2023 in partnership with Le Bahut. We interviewed around a hundred Digital Learning Managers using our Learning Boost tool. This methodology helped us draw up a precise portrait of the Digital Learning Manager. The themes addressed in our assessment covered three aspects of the profession:

  • In terms of instructional design: instructional framework, program assessment, instructional innovation
  • When it comes to content production: tools, hosting, monitoring
  • And regarding the of promotion of the learning offer: communicating about the offer and measuring the impact of marketing actions.

Thanks to the data collected, we have been able to identify trends and draw up a typical profile of the Digital Learning Manager in 2024.
